Answers to some of our frequently asked questions:

Can we bring our own alcohol?

Yes, you actually have to. You apply for a social occasion permit through the LGCA, and supply us with all the receipts for your alcohol. We provide the bartenders.

You CANNOT bring home made wine.

We suggest supporting local, and buying your alcohol from Lockport Grocery or another community liquor store. We also suggest that you pick up your canned beer from a vendor (as it will come cold).

When do we have access to the venue?

You get access at 10 AM on the day of your rental, until 1 AM (or 12 AM Sunday - Thursday). All guests and vendors must exit the property by 1 AM.

Early venue access can be provided in addition to your rental (to a max of 2 hours).

What if it rains?

If it rains, your ceremony will be in the pavilion. We typically move the head table and the next two tables to the side, and set 12 chairs on each side to make a “mini” aisle.

We have no deadline as to when you must make this decision - we know you want your original ceremony location if possible!

Who brings the food?

We have an open vendor policy! this means you can hire any catering company/restaurant that has their health permits. Please note that cooking is NOT permitted in our prep kitchen.

Desserts you have free reign on (you just cannot bake them in our prep kitchen). Make sure to ask us about our soft serve machine if ice cream is your jam!

Can we drink your water?

Yes!

Are you pet friendly?

Yes, your pets are welcome! We are an outdoor venue, so they can hang out with you all day.

Can I come get my “stuff” the next day?

Absolutely! We offer a décor cleaning & storage service in addition to your rental. Pick up times are flexible as we know wedding weekends can be busy!

We will also store your “stuff” ahead of time if required. This service is in addition to your rental.

What is special event liability insurance?

As you are the host of the event, and responsible for the safety of your guests, we want to make sure you are covered should there be an accident. You can buy special event liability insurance online, or through your broker. Policies cost ~$150. You can get quotes online at the following links:

Who sets up the tables & chairs?

We do! We include all tables & chairs with your rental. We will have the tables set up for 10 AM, and will add the chairs later in the day (in case you want to move your tables around). Everything that goes on your tables is your responsibility (water & wine glasses, plates, cutlery, water pitchers, napkins, linens, special decorating). You do not need to put table cloths on our harvest tables.

We also set up and take down the ceremony chairs.

Do you provide high chairs?

We do not provide any high chairs.

Do you have an Arbor?

Yes, we do! You can see more info on it here.

Can I decorate the fireplace?

We would love it if you did! For more info on our fireplace, click here.

Are candles allowed?

Yes, but all candle flames must be covered by 1” of glass.

Fireworks?

Sparklers?

Rose Petals?

Confetti?

Fireworks must be set off in the location we decide, and by sober persons. A minimum $50 Fireworks fee will apply. Please check with us before purchasing fireworks for your event as forest conditions do not always allow for them.

Sparklers are always allowed. Please let us know if you will be using sparklers, and we will provide you with a sand bucket for sparklers to be discarded into.

Real flower petals are permitted, however an effort must be made to retrieve them up after use. Fake flower petals are NOT permitted.

Confetti is NOT permitted under any circumstances.

What do I have to clean?

We take care of all usual janitorial services, garbage, and recycling. We ask caterers who use our prep kitchen to leave it in the same state they found it.

If a guest or vendor creates an unusual mess, we may ask you to clean it or we will deduct a special cleaning fee from your damage deposit.
